Barmer: A MiG-21 Bison fighter plane of the Indian Air Force crashed due to a technical fault after take-off at around 5 pm on Wednesday in the Barmer district of Rajasthan. During this, the pilot saved his life by jumping. The Indian Air Force has issued a Court of Inquiry order regarding the incident.

According to the information, this MiG fighter aircraft of the Air Force crashed at around 5 pm in Matasar village, 35 km from the district. After the plane crashed, it fell into a field. Due to the plane crashing and being dragged far away, some of the grass-thatched huts and houses caught fire. No casualties have been reported during the incident. The villagers are trying to douse the fire.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police administration has left for the spot. After the incident, many other officers including Air Force officers from Uttarlai are also reaching the spot.

Be aware that this is the fourth incident of this year. About three months ago, a MiG-21 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force had crashed. In the month of May, a fighter jet MiG-21 crashed in the town of Baghapurana in Moga, Punjab, due to which the pilot was killed. At the same time, in January this year, MiG 21 flew from Suratgarh to Halwara and Halwara to Suratgarh in Rajasthan. During this, the plane crashed in Langiana Khurd village near Baghapurana.
