According to media reports, flights were temporarily stopped on landing at Tashkent airport. It is not yet clear what exactly caused the massive power outage. The Uzbek authorities, however, blamed a fault in the power line for this. These three countries, which were part of the former Soviet Union Russia, are dependent on a single energy system that was developed during the time of Soviet Union Russia.
