The Swift failed miserably in all the parameters used in the crash test, scoring 15.53 percent in the adult occupant box, 0 percent in the child occupant box, pedestrian safety, 66 percent in the poor road user box, and about 7 percent in the safety assist box. achieved. According to the South American agency NCAP, the Swift results are valid for this hatchback car as well as its sedan variant.
According to the agency, the poor crash-test score of the Swift was attributed to the low whiplash score of the hatchback car for the Wrong Side Impact Protection, open doors during crash tests, and the UN32 Prouv’s low whiplash score for the rear impact, the agency further stated that the Swift had a low whiplash score. There are drawbacks like side head protection airbags and standard ESC. Due to the open door during the crash test, this car will not be able to pass the UN95 regulation.
Renault Duster SUV

Earlier Global NCAP gave a 2-star rating to Swift when this generation model was launched in India. Then this car was tested in 2018. Dual airbags are standard on the Swift that goes on sale in India. However, this model sold in Europe comes equipped with 6 airbags and Electric Stability Control (ESC) as standard. Maruti Suzuki does not offer standard side body and head airbags or ESC in Latin America and the Caribbean on this model.
