Maruti Suzuki 2020 S-Cross launched in India with petrol engine, auto transmission

New Delhi: The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki launched its S-Cross petrol version in India on Wednesday with an auto transmission. The new petrol engine in the S-Cross will be equipped with BS6. Many new features have been updated along with the cabin of the new S-Cross. The company unveiled the new S-Cross at the Auto Expo 2020. It can be booked by paying a token amount of Rs 11,000 from the company’s Nexa dealership or online platform. Earlier, the S-Cross was available with a diesel engine. Maruti has completely stopped making diesel vehicles. The S-Cross will be available with a petrol engine option just like other cars.

A total of 7 variants have been introduced with the DDIS 200 and DDIS 320 engines. The Sigma variant starts at 8.39 lakhs (ex-showroom price, Delhi), while the Alpha AT costs 12.39 lakhs (ex-showroom price, Delhi).

S-Cross Premium Features –
The S-Cross is a car with premium features. It offers all-black touch with silver, automatic climate control dashboard, rear air conditioner vents, new touchscreen Maruti SmartPlay infotainment system, airbags, ABS, and EBD.

The company’s new facelift S-Cross will get BS6-compliant 1.5-liter K15B petrol engine. This engine generates 104bhp power and 138Nm torque, apart from this the engine has used mild-hybrid technology. Apart from this, there will be options of 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gear box. The company claims that the new S-Cross gives a mileage of 18.55 kilometers per liter.
