Maruti made a sales record!, 1.67 lakh vehicles sold in March

New Delhi: The country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India said on Thursday that its total sales in March stood at 1,67,014 units. The company sold 83,792 units in March last year amid a nationwide lockdown due to the corona virus epidemic. Its total domestic sales last month were 1,49,518 units. Manufacturing and sales were affected to a large extent by the Kovid 19 epidemic last year.

MSI said in a statement that domestic sales had fallen by about 48 percent in March 2020. It is noteworthy that domestic sales in March 2021 have reached the level of March 2019 only. Apart from this, M&M, ESCORTS and Toyota have also sold more vehicles than anticipated in March.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor said on Thursday that it had sold a total of 15,001 units in March 2021. The company said that after March 2013, it has achieved the highest sales figures in March for the first time. The company sold 7023 units in March 2020. In February 2021, the company sold 14,075 units.

Total sales of Escorts in March increased by 126.6 per cent to 12,337 units. In March last year, the company had sold a total of 5,444 vehicles. On a month-by-month basis, there has been a 10 per cent increase in the total sales of the company. In February this year, the company had sold 11,230 vehicles.

M&M
M&M sales in March 2021 stood at 40,403 units, while total tractor sales stood at 30,970 units. The company sold 13,613 tractors in March last year and 28,146 tractors in February this year.
