Mumbai: Well-known actor from Malayalam cinema Vijay Babu has been arrested. The actor is accused of sexual abuse and rape, for which he has been arrested. According to media reports, he was arrested by the Kochi police on Monday after an unidentified woman accused him of rape. On April 22, a case was registered against Vijay Babu alleging rape, taking action on which he has now been arrested.
As reported by The Indian Express, Kochi’s Deputy City Police Commissioner U V Kuriakose has disclosed the rape complaint lodged against Vijay Babu. For the collection of evidence, Vijay Babu will reportedly be taken to the places where the rape allegedly took place. The report also mentioned that since the actor has already been granted anticipatory bail, he will be released on bail.

The Kerala High Court, while granting anticipatory bail to Vijay Babu, allowed the police to interrogate the actor from 9 am to 5 pm between June 27 and July 3.
