New Delhi: According to the news coming now, Dharampal Gulati, the owner of MDH Group, has passed away. He breathed his last at Mata Channan Devi Hospital. It is noteworthy that 98-year-old Mahasaya Dharmapal was admitted to Mata Channan Hospital for the last several days due to illness. On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has expressed grief and condolences on the news of his demise.

How was the life of Mahasaya Dharmapal Gulati:
Let it be known that Mahasaya Dharmapal was born on March 27, 1923 in Sialkot (now in Pakistan). He left his school in 1933, before completing 5th class. Then in 1937, he started his own business with the help of his father. After that he also traded in soap, carpentry, cloth, hardware, rice.

Significantly, Mahasaya Dharmapal Gulati could not do this work for a long time and he started a separate business with his father. Here he started working in his father’s shop called ‘Maheshiyan Di Hatti’. It was also known as ‘Degi Mirtha Wale’. Then after the partition of India and Pakistan, he moved to Delhi and on September 27, 1947, he had only Rs. 1500 left.

How to lay the foundation of MDH brand:
With the remaining money, Mahasaya Dharmapal Gulati bought a tanga for Rs. 650 and also ran a tanga between New Delhi Railway Station and Qutub Road. A few days later, he gave the tanga to his brother and started selling his spices by setting up a small shop on Ajmal Khan Road in Karol Bagh. His spice business started and the foundation of MDH brand was also laid.

Along with his business, he has also done many positive things, which proved to be very helpful to the society. These include building hospitals, schools etc. He has opened many schools and colleges so far. They have opened more than 20 schools so far.

Thus Mahasaya Dharmapal Gulati did many adventures in his life. In fact, his whole life has learned in a way that a person can do a lot with his hard work without giving up even in difficulties and adversities.
