Mumbai: To prevent the spread of Coronavirus, the Maharashtra government has extended lockdown restrictions in the state till 31 January 2021. An order said that the state government believes that the state of Maharashtra is threatened by the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Some emergency measures have been taken to prevent the spread of the virus. The government has decided to extend the lockdown under the Pandemic Act 1897 and Disaster Act 2005 till 31 January. It has been said in the order that the current guidelines regarding Kovid will continue.
The Maharashtra government has taken this decision at a time when there has been an increase in the cases of new strains of Corona in the country. At the same time, 664 passengers arrived at Mumbai Airport on Tuesday, out of which 361 passengers have been kept in isolation in the city. A municipal official said that a total of nine international flights arrived here on Tuesday. He said that 254 passengers were allowed to go to other states, while some travelers were exempted from the mandatory segregated habitat rule due to reasons like getting pregnant and getting older.
The municipal body on Sunday amended the standard operating procedure to keep passengers coming from European countries and West Asia in the institutional quarantine. It was released in Britain after a new type of coronavirus was introduced.
