Mumbai: Lockdown may be re-imposed in Maharashtra amid increasing cases of Coronavirus since festivals in the country. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said this on Sunday. We also saw a lot of crowd during Ganesh Chaturthi. Pawar said that we are in talks with the concerned departments.
Ajit Pawar said that we will review the situation for the next 2-3 days and after that decide on further lockdown. Pawar said that at the time of Diwali, it was very crowded and it seemed as if the corona would die on its own from the huge crowd. Now it is being said that a second wave of corona may come. The government is imposing restrictions on the opening of schools, including sanitizing them in various ways.
More than 17 lakh 74 thousand cases in Maharashtra
Explain that after 5,760 new cases of coronavirus infection came to light in Maharashtra, the total number of infected people has increased to 17,74,455 on Saturday. He said that 62 patients have died due to the infection on Saturday, bringing the total number of deaths to 46,573. The official said that 4,088 people were discharged in the state today after being free from the infection, with 16,47,004 Covid-19 patients recovering so far. He said that at present 79,873 patients are undergoing treatment in the state.
With 1093 new patients in Mumbai, the number of Covid-19 cases increased to 2,74,579. The infection has so far killed 10,656 patients in the city, killing 17 more patients. So far 1,01,20,470 samples have been tested in the state. The cases of Mumbai division corona virus from Mumbai and surrounding cities increased from 1977 to 6,15,499. So far 18,485 patients of Kovid-19 have lost their lives in this division.
More than 10 thousand deaths in Pune
There were 4,44,534 cases of Covid-19 in the Pune division till Saturday while so far 10,493 people have lost their lives due to this virus. In the Nashik division, the number of cases of this epidemic has increased to 2,38,660 while 4470 patients have lost their lives so far.
In the Kolhapur division, cases of Coronavirus went up to 1,12,172 while 3900 patients have died so far. In Aurangabad division, the number of Kovid-19 cases rose to 66,169 on Saturday while 1,678 patients have died so far.
In the Latur division, there were 73,149 cases of Kovid-19 on Saturday while 2236 patients have died so far. In the Akola division, the number of cases of coronavirus has reached 56,439 while so far 1332 people have lost their lives to this virus. The number of infected people in the Nagpur division rose to 1,65,857 on Saturday while 3819 people died from the infection.
