New Delhi: Instant messaging app WhatsApp keeps testing new features keeping in mind the privacy of its users. Now the name of a very useful feature has also been added to this list. The name of this feature is ‘Lock Chat’ feature. As the name suggests, this is a chat-locking feature. With the help of this feature, users will now be able to lock even a single chat on the platform. Earlier the feature of locking WhatsApp was available, but now you will be able to lock every chat inside the app, which you want to keep secret.
Wabetainfo has given information about the ‘Lock Chat’ feature in its latest report. According to the report, Whatsapp is soon going to bring the Lock Chat feature on its platform, with the help of which users will now be able to lock any single chat in the app. Surely this feature will further strengthen the privacy of the users and add a new layer of security. Please tell us that at present this feature is in the development stage, which can be rolled out with future updates.
It can be seen in the screenshot shared by Wabetainfo that users will be given the option of the fingerprint to lock their private chats. As soon as you toggle on this option in a chat, that chat will be locked. Please tell me that to open the chat, you have to apply fingerprints every time. With this, no other person will be able to open your chat.
Edit feature rollout
Meanwhile, WhatsApp is rolling out the Edit feature for select beta testers. The feature reportedly allows users to quickly switch between fonts by tapping one of the display font options above the keyboard. WhatsApp now reportedly allows users to quickly select non-essential fonts.
New options in Disappearing Messages
Apart from this, it has been learned recently that WhatsApp is soon going to introduce new duration options in ‘Disappearing Messages’ mode. Till now you could keep this mode on for 24 hours, 7 days, and 90 days. At the same time, now according to the latest reports, the instant messaging app will soon get new time duration options.
