Mumbai: A local train box derailed near Attgaon station, about 95 km from Mumbai, but no passenger was reported injured. An official gave this information. Atgaon station is located on the Central Railway (CR) route in the neighboring Thane district. According to the official, the train was going to Kasara station.
CR Chief Public Relations Officer Shivaji Sutar said, “A trolley of a coach in the middle of the suburban train derailed near Atgaon station at around 7.28 am. There were no casualties in this incident. ” According to the Zonal Railways, it was a first class coach whatgaonich did not have a lot of passengers at the time of the incident.
At present, only employees of essential and emergency services as well as nationalized banks and employees of various state and central government offices are allowed to travel in local trains in Mumbai. While coming towards Atgaon station, the train box derailed after which the movement of trains on the Kalyan-Kasara route was interrupted. “The relief trains have been ordered and the work of bringing the coaches back on track will start soon,” Sutar said.
