New Delhi: Farmers in Punjab have withdrawn the Rail Roko campaign for 15 days, but farmers in Delhi have geared up for the agitation. Farmers protesting against the new agricultural laws of the central government will reach Delhi on November 26 through the five highways connecting the national capital under the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march. A meeting of farmers has been held last week regarding this. It is being said that more than 500 farmers’ organizations will take part in this movement.

If stopped then the road will be blocked
Talking to the English newspaper Indian Express, the president of the Indian Farmers Union, Balbir Singh Rajewal, has said that on November 26, all these people will block the road in Delhi. He said, “Farmers of Haryana will block the National Highway from Delhi. If the farmers of Uttar Pradesh are stopped, they will also block the road. In such a situation, all the farmers of the country will block Delhi from all sides. Wherever we are stopped, we will sit on the dharna. We are carrying rations, tents, and quilts. ‘
The Delhi government has not given permission
The Delhi government has not given permission to farmers to rally at Ramlila Maidan and Jantar Mantar. But the farmers are adamant to march to Delhi. It is being said that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to the Center seeking permission to close the market for a few days in view of the growing contagion of the corona. But the farmer is still not ready to accept. He says that it is a matter of existence for him.
Support of more than 500 farmer organizations
The Akhil Bharatiya Kisan Sangharsh Samanvay Samiti, Rashtriya Kisan Mahasangh, and different factions of Bharatiya Kisan Sangh have formed a united Kisan Morcha with the objective of putting pressure on the Central Government to withdraw the three new agricultural laws. This front has the support of more than 500 farmers’ organizations. A seven-member committee has also been constituted to maintain coordination in the functioning of the front.
