New Delhi: The Indian Cricket Team has suffered a major setback. Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) captain Lokesh Rahul (KL Rahul) will no longer be seen playing in the World Test Championship (WTC Final 2023) against Australia after being ruled out of the IPL. Rahul gave information about this by writing a post. The final of the World Test Championship will be played at The Oval in London from June 7 to 11. The Indian team for this important match has been announced a few days back.

Rahul wrote in his post, after careful consideration and consultation with the medical team, it has been concluded that I will be undergoing surgery for my thigh shortly. My focus will be on my rehabilitation and recovery in the coming weeks. It’s a tough decision to make, but I know it’s the right one to ensure a full recovery.

Rahul further wrote, as the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants team, it is very painful not to be with the team this time. But I am sure my team will rise to the occasion and give their best as always. I will be cheering them on from the sidelines, watching every game with all of you.

Rahul wrote on his Instagram post, “Extremely disappointed that I will not be able to go to The Oval with Team India next month. I will do whatever I can to wear the Indian team jersey again and help my country. That has always been my priority.”
