New Delhi: Kawasaki has launched the 2024 edition of its popular cruiser, the Vulcan S, in India, priced at Rs 7.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The price remains unchanged from the previous model, and so does the bike’s design, hardware, features, and mechanicals. The only update for 2024 is a fresh color option: Pearl Matte Sage Green.
Engine and Performance
The Vulcan S continues to be powered by a 649cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine, delivering 61 hp and a peak torque of 62.4 Nm. This engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, ensuring smooth and responsive performance.
Design and Features
Combining classic cruiser aesthetics with modern elements, the Vulcan S features a rounded headlamp cluster and a blacked-out finish for the swingarm, rear frame components, rear suspension, and alloy wheels. Despite its semi-digital console, the bike still lacks Bluetooth connectivity.
Suspension and Braking
The bike’s suspension setup includes 41mm telescopic forks at the front and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock. For braking, it relies on disc brakes on both wheels with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The Vulcan S rides on an 18-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel, contributing to its distinctive stance.

Dimensions and Comfort
Key dimensions include a 14-litre fuel tank, a 235kg kerb weight, a low 705mm seat height, and 130mm of ground clearance. These features ensure a comfortable and stable riding experience.
