Indore: In the campaign for the by-elections to be held in 27 assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh, former Chief Minister Kamal Nath has said that the previous Congress government headed by him waived the debt of 26 lakh farmers in the state. He gave an ‘open challenge’ to Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and BJP Rajya Sabha member Jyotiraditya Scindia and asked them to refute this claim.

On Sunday, Kamal Nath was addressing a general meeting in favor of Congress candidate Premchand Bourasi ‘Guddu’ from Saver region of Indore district. He said in a meeting held in Arjun Baroda village, about 20 km from Indore city, that my government had waived the debt of 26 lakh farmers of the state.
