London: The National Health Service (NHS) of Britain has intensified its largest-ever Vaccination Campaign and under it Covid-19 vaccines in drug stores across the country. (Covid-19 Vaccine) supply has been started.
British pharmacy chains such as Boots and Superdrug and many other drug shops will join the first hundreds of community pharmacies to be provided vaccines on a pilot basis. 200 community pharmacies are to provide online services over the next fortnight as Pfizer-BioNTech and Oxford / AstraZeneca (Oxford-AstraZeneca) vaccines are due to arrive later this month.
Britain’s Health Minister Matt Hancock said, “It is fantastic that the pharmacy is now being used to vaccinate Covid-19.” These will help in running vaccination programs at local level and accessible locations. ”
The government has targeted to vaccinate millions of people over 70 years of age and advance front personnel by mid-February to remove lockdown in the country, so vaccines are now being provided at hundreds of places including hospitals. Seven large vaccine centers were opened this week. These are in every NHS region. Dozens of more vaccination centers are to be opened in the coming weeks.
British vaccine minister Nadeem Jahavi said, “Pharmacy plays an important role in the care of the nation and I am really happy to see them coming forward to help with the national immunization program.”
