UAE updates Covid Travel Green List

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Culture and Tourism (DCT Abu Dhabi) of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has updated the travel rules for the countries included in the ‘Green List’. In the new rules, the travel restrictions have been relaxed following the Covid Guidelines (Covid-19 Protocol). Now vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers coming from the countries included in the Green List will be exempted from the quarantine rules while entering Abu Dhabi. The new rules will be applicable from 12 pm on 8 October.

The countries included in the Green List will mean the place from where the passengers are coming and not the citizenship of the passengers. Albania, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Belize, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Burma, Burundi, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Comoros, Croatia in the green list, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Republic of Ireland, Russia, Saint Marino, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and the United Kingdom, the United States of America and Uzbekistan are included.

These are the new rules of travel

  • Passengers will have to show a negative PCR Covid-19 report, which has been tested 48 hours before the journey.
  • After arriving at Abu Dhabi International Airport, passengers will have to undergo a PCR test.

  • Vaccine passengers will have a PCR test 6 days after their arrival in Abu Dhabi. At the same time, people will be tested for corona on the sixth and ninth day without getting the vaccine.
  • The Green List is updated from time to time as per the international standards and rules.
