Melbourne: Once again the hooliganism of Khalistan supporters has come to the fore in Australia. Khalistanis attacked Indians carrying the national flag in Melbourne, whose video is viral on social media. According to Australia Today, 5 people were also injured in this attack, who have been admitted to the hospital. Australia Today tweeted, ‘Another video of pro-Khalistan riots at Federation Square Five in Melbourne is viral. The injured in the incident have been sent to the hospital.

After the video went viral, Bharatiya Janata Party leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa condemned the ‘anti-India activities’ by Khalistani supporters in Australia. He tweeted that “I strongly condemn the anti-India activities by Khalistani supporters in Australia. The anti-social elements who are trying to disrupt the peace and harmony of the country with these activities should be dealt with strictly and the culprits should be brought to book.”


Hindu Human Rights demanded the arrest
Let us tell you that in the viral video on social media, it is seen that Khalistani supporters are fighting with Indian people, after which Indians are seen running away from the scene. In the video, a person was also seen breaking the Indian flag and throwing it on the ground. Sarah L. Gates, director of Hindu Human Rights Australasia, also shared a video on Twitter of Khalistan supporters chasing an Indian youth carrying the Indian national flag. Gates tweeted that “Indian youth carrying the tricolor is attacked by Khalistan supporters near Federation Square Khalistan Referendum. I hope the police will not turn a blind eye.”

One of the Khalistani attackers was seen moving toward the crowd with a sword. Australia Today had earlier reported that Indians in Australia had informed Victoria Police that they had planned a protest at Federation Square in Melbourne against the growing pro-Khalistan activities in the country. Australian Hindu media reported that the sword-wielding Khalistani has been arrested by the police at Federation Square. Police arrested two people
Condemning the attack, the Victoria Police said that two people have been arrested so far after the violent attack. The arrested duo, both in their 30s, have been issued penalty notices for “riotous behavior”. The attack comes days after the Hindu temples in Melbourne were set on fire. Police said the three men had gone to the e-commerce center at Meriton Place, Clayton South in a blue Volkswagen Golf at around 10 pm on January 26.
