Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh honored with India-UK Achievers award in Britain

London: Former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh was recently honored with the ‘India-UK Achievers’ Honours’ for his contribution to the economic and political fields. Our country’s founders Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, Sardar Patel, and many others studied in Britain and became great leaders and left a legacy that continues to inspire India and the world. Over the years many Indian students have had the opportunity to study in the UK.

To mark 75 years of India’s independence, for the first time ever, 75 achievers in various fields were honored with the ‘India-UK Achievers’ Honours’ while some are recognized as ‘Outstanding Achievers’ been awarded.
