New York: American tech company Apple has made another record. Apple crossed the magic figure of $ 3 trillion ($ 3 trillion) market value on Monday. You must have heard the names of the world’s big companies like Walmart, Disney, Netflix, Nike, Exxon Mobil, Coca-Cola, Comcast, Morgan Stanley, McDonald’s, AT&T, Goldman Sachs, Boeing, IBM, and Ford. Even if we combine all these giant companies of the world, the market value of Apple is much higher. It is the world’s first publicly-traded company that has reached this point. The company’s shares were trading at $182.01 on Monday.

$2 to 3 trillion worth in just 16 months
This company, which started from a garage in California in 1976, has now grown to $ 3 trillion. Apple touched the magic figure of one trillion dollars in August 2018. He had to come a long way of 42 years to achieve this feat. Two years later, the company’s value exceeded $2 trillion. Whereas it took only 16 months and 15 days for the company to have the next trillion i.e. three trillion market value.

Equivalent to 30 General Electrics Co.
In any sense, this figure of $3 trillion is tremendous. This is more than the value of all cryptocurrencies in the world. This is roughly equal to the GDP of Britain or India. That’s roughly the equivalent of six JPMorgan Chase, the largest US bank, or 30 General Electrics Co.

According to Howard Silverblatt, an analyst who tracks valuations in the index, Apple now accounts for about 7% of the total value of the S&P 500, breaking IBM’s record of 6.4% in 1984. Apple alone accounts for about 3.3% of the value of the entire global stock market.

Biggest buyback
According to an analysis by Silverblatt, over the past decade, Apple has bought shares worth $488 billion of its own. This is the highest ever buyback by any company. In a single financial quarter, only 14 of the 15 largest stock buybacks have been done by Apple. This is also a record.

According to market data, another giant tech company Microsoft may join Apple’s $ 3 trillion clubs earlier this year.
