American University terminates Chinese scholars

Texas: North Texas University has given 15 scholars to termite scholarships without giving any reason. Chinese students and scholars studying at North Texas University have launched an online petition on this termination and urged the university to cancel this termination decision. On August 26, South American schools sent emails to these visiting scholars, stating that their access to school resources, including emails, servers, and other materials, could be terminated. They are also not allowed to visit the campus without any university partners.

Order to leave the US in one month
This decision by North Texas University means that scholars have been given a grace period of only one month. They somehow complete their research during this period, end the lease of their homes, pack their belongings and arrange a ticket to leave the US, which is likely to be very expensive in the instant.

University did not tell scholars the reason
Students and scholars have sought support on the petition related to it on the website and also urged their university to cancel the decision. Liang Yuheng, a graduate of North Texas University and a petitioner, said that South American School has not yet given any reason for the termination and that North Texas University is the only American university to have made such an announcement so far. Liang also said that North Texas University does not have a large community of Chinese students and scholars, but we thank the American school students and professors for advancing our message and churning us all.

‘It is not right to take such a strict step without any accusation and blame’
Adam Briggle, an associate professor of philosophy at North Texas University, has hosted seven Chinese scholars over the past nine years. Professor Adam Brigl also does not consider it appropriate to abolish visas for these scholars. He wrote on the Petition website that North Texas University has no allegation against Chinese visiting scholars. He wrote that the consequences of such action in this epidemic can be serious. These visiting scholars are sponsored by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), a non-profit organization affiliated to the Ministry of Education of China. This institute provides financial assistance to foreigners who wish to study abroad and study in China.

Sources in the Global Times came to know that the China Scholarship Council (CSC) and the Chinese Embassy in the US are trying to arrange for a place for these students to go on chartered flights.
