Panaji: The right engine of a Mumbai-bound IndiGo aircraft developed a technical snag while moving towards the runway, the Goa airport director said on Tuesday. Here a fault was found in the engine of the aircraft, after which a Navy team was called to help in rescuing the passengers. At the same time, the flight has been canceled. The passengers have been put on another flight going to Mumbai. The airline is currently investigating the engine failure.
Giving information about the incident, the Indigo airline said that Indigo Airbus (VT-IZR) was flying from Goa to Mumbai, where the pilot received a warning from the engine side shortly after while proceeding to the runway. He then immediately took action and took the aircraft back to the airport for necessary inspection.
Then came Indigo flight failure
It is noteworthy that, for the second day in a row, IndiGo’s flight has faced many problems. Earlier, pilots of an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Kolkata had requested Kolkata ATC for landing after smoke was detected in the cargo hold area. Delhi to Kolkata IndiGo flight 6E-2513 (VT-IJA) Smoke was detected in the cargo hold before landing on Sunday. During this, the flight was landed on a priority basis after the alarm sudden o’clock. Officials said that the flight was flying from Delhi to Kolkata carrying 165 passengers and six crew members. At present, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is investigating this entire incident.
