After the announcement of changing the name of China, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs said that keeping such a name will not change the fact that Arunachal Pradesh is an integral part of India. In an official statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, it has been said that this is not the first time that China has named the places of Arunachal Pradesh (India-China Relations) in its own language. Whatever China may do, Arunachal Pradesh was and will remain an integral part of India.

Talking to the media on Thursday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said, ‘We have seen such reports. This is not the first time that China has named places in Arunachal Pradesh in its own language. In April 2017 also China has done this. Doing so by China will not change the fact that Arunachal Pradesh has always been and will be an integral part of India.

The official names of 15 places, which are given exact longitude and latitude, include eight residential places, four mountains, two rivers, and a mountain pass. This is the second set of standardized names of places in Arunachal Pradesh by China.
