Indian women created history even before International Women’s Day

New Delhi: There is hardly any area left in the 21st century where the stigma of women’s power is not ringing. In many areas, women have surpassed men. In this episode, women have created another history. Actually, women officers working in the Shipping Corporation of India have written a new saga. These women officers operated the water ship from Jawaharlal Nehru Port. The MT Swarna Krishna cargo vessel was operated by women officers only. The Union Port, Shipping, and Waterways Minister (Independent Charge) Mansukh Mandaviya flagged off this cargo ship virtually.

This incident happened for the first time in the history of global maritime
Mansukh Mandavia deeply praised the courage, contribution and sacrifice of these women seafarers. She said that these Indian women officers have worked as Indian Ambassadors for the Maritime Community of the whole world. Shipping Corporation of India CMD HK Joshi, Shipping Secretary Dr. Sanjeev Ranjan, JNPT Chairman Sanjay Shethi were also witnesses of this historic moment.

Common people had earlier this notion about Maritime

International Women’s Day will be celebrated on 8 March 2021 on the theme of Women in Leadership: Achieving an equal future in a COVID-19 world on 8 March 2021 to encourage these women officers. In the year 2019 also, International Women’s Day was celebrated on the theme of Empowering Women in the Maritime Community.
