You know, BrahMos Aerospace Private Limited is a joint program of India-Russia. They make supersonic missiles, which can be launched from submarines, ships, airplanes, jets, or land. Also, it is the world’s fastest supersonic cruise missile. The BrahMos missile flies at Mach 2.8 or almost three times the speed of sound. BrahMos is based on Russia’s P-800 Oceanic cruise missile technology.
In April last year, the Indian Navy successfully tested the anti-ship version of this supersonic cruise missile from Andaman-Nicobar. Recently, India has also started exporting BrahMos missiles. In January last year, India signed a $375 million deal with the Philippines for the supply of three batteries for the missile.
