Mumbai: On August 15, the final of the popular singing reality show ‘Indian Idol 12’ declared, Pawandeep Rajan as its winner. Pawandeep Rajan, a resident of Uttarakhand, not only sings well but also plays many musical instruments. He has won the TV show ‘The Vice’ in 2015.

Recently, while talking to the media, Pawandeep Rajan sulked about what he is planning to do with the winning amount. When asked what he would do with a check of Rs 25 lakh from Sony Entertainment Television, the singer said, “I want to open a music school in my district so that young children can learn and grow in life. They will get to see how things are done in a professional manner. I have been living with my parents since the very beginning and they have done a lot for me. Whatever I can do in return will always be less.”

Pawandeep Rajan also revealed that he wants to establish himself as a professional singer in Mumbai. He said that now people know him better, if he releases a song, it will reach everywhere. Describing Indian Idol as a bridge to his dreams, Pawandeep said that he has learned a lot from the musician and wants to shift his base to Mumbai by performing in front of guests and judges.

The show had a colorful grand finale on Sunday. The finale of the show was organized in a grand manner on 15th August. The round of speculation had already started among the fans about its winner. Its finale ran from 12 noon to 12 pm on Sunday. In the finale of ‘Indian Idol 12’, 6 contestants had reached. These are – Pawandeep Rajan, Nihal Tauro, Shanmukh Priya, Arunita Kanjilal, Sayli Kamble and Mohammad Danish.

This is the first time that six contestants had entered the final together. ‘Indian Idol 12’ was also the longest-running season in the history of the show so far. The show was hosted by singer and actor Aditya Narayan. Anu Malik, Sonu Kakkar, and Himesh Reshammiya played the role of judges in the show. The show was also previously judged by Vishal Dadlani and Neha Kakkar.
