New Delhi: Indian Oscar-nominated film Chhello Show, the popular feature documentary All That Breathes, the short documentary The Elephant Whispers, and the song Natu Natu from the blockbuster film RRR have been honored at the 95th edition of the Oscars. Shortlisted for the Academy Awards.
The organizers gave this information on Thursday. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the shortlists in 10 categories, including Documentary Feature Film, Short Documentary Film, International Feature Film, Makeup, and Hairstyling, Music (Original Score), Music (Original Song), Includes animated short films, live action short films, sound, and visual effects.
Gujarati film Chello Show (English title Last Film Show) directed by Paan Nalin is the story of a young boy from a village in Saurashtra who falls in love with cinema. According to the official website of the Academy Awards, Chello Show will compete with 14 other films, including Argentino, 1985 (Argentina), Decision to Leave (South Korea), All Quiet on the Western Front (Germany), Close (Belgium) and The Blue Kaftan’ (Morocco). The song Naatu Naatu from RRR has been shortlisted in the Best Music (Original Song) category.
The song will also compete with 14 other songs, including Avatar: The Way of Water’s Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Lift Me Up, Guillermo del Torroz’s Pinocchio’s Ciao Papa and Top Gun: Maverick’s. Carolina from Hold My Hand and Where the Crawdads Sing.
