Shirdi: Many religious places in the country have now opened their doors to the patients. Somewhere the temple itself was converted into a hospital and a separate Corona Care Center was prepared.
Now even though Shirdi Trust has received 83% fewer donations this year than last year, but there is still no shortage in their service. So far, more than 7 thousand corona patients have been cured of Corona Hospital run by Sai Trust. Not only this, the arrangement for lodging, food, and drink is absolutely free for the patients as well as their families.

It is worth mentioning that in Shirdi Sai Dham in 2018, where 1.65 crore devotees had reached for darshan. At the same time, 1.57 crore devotees visited here in 2019, but in 2020 the temple had to be closed due to the severe infection of Corona. When the temple opened after the first wave, only 5.74 lakh devotees visited here between November 16 and December 21. At the same time, in 2021, between January 1 and April 5, the number of devotees remained only about 62 thousand. Here, in view of the increasing nature of the corona epidemic, the trust built a corona hospital in April-2020, and treatment of patients coming here for free was started.
If the figures are to be believed, since April-2020 till now, more than 7000 patients have been cured of Baba’s Dham. The special thing is that the team of the trust which was earlier deployed in the service of the devotees, now the same people are also engaged in the service of the patients here. About 3000 thousand employees are providing services in this Corona hospital itself.
Along with this, apart from Super Multi-Specialty Hospital, separate treatment has been arranged for Corona patients in General Hospital. Kanhuraj Harishchandra Bagate, CEO of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust, said, “We are providing free treatment to corona patients here. In multi-specialty hospitals, even if a small fee is charged in any facility, then it is also compensated through the schemes of the state or central government. This does not put any burden on the patient.
Along with this, Bagte also says that “People left from Shirdi in five trains, we gave food packets to everyone. With arrangements for food to thousands of people, they were also sent to their homes by buses. Quarantine Center, Isolation Center, and Dedicated Kovid Health Center are operating here since last year. As long as corona infections are coming here in Baba’s court, this facility will continue continuously.
640 bedded hospital in which 140, oxygen beds:
Let us inform you that Shirdi Trust has prepared a great Covid Hospital with 640 beds. It has 140 oxygen beds and 20 ventilator beds. However, arrangements have been made for Corona at a total of 3 places. If all the three places are combined, then there is a facility of about 1500 beds.
When it came in some media reports that the lack of oxygen here has created a big problem for the patients. So after this Nita Ambani and KV Ramani of Chennai donated Rs 3 crore to the trust. With this oxygen plant as well a modern RTPCR lab has been built. Now the capacity of the oxygen plant here is 1200 LPM per minute. Along with the patients undergoing treatment here, there is ample and free lodging and food arrangements for their families as well.
Donations came less due to Corona:
Let us tell you that the Sai Baba Trust got less than Rs 295 crore during the Corona period. At the same time, the trust received a donation of Rs 428 crore in the year 2018-19. Apart from this, 24.795 kg gold, 428.555 kg silver were also found. Similarly, in the year 2019-20, a donation of Rs 357 crore came. 17.90 kg gold and 357.492 kg silver were found. Whereas during the Corona period i.e. from 1 April 2020 to 25 May 2021, the trust received only 62 crore donations online.
That is, if seen, the donation came less than the last year by Rs 295 crore. If we look at the percentage, there is a decrease of about 83% here. At the same time, about 14 kg of gold and 295 kg of silver have also been found less. Now if we talk about the assets of the trust, then till March 31, 2020, the total deposited assets of Sai Sansthan was estimated to be Rs 3013 crore.
