CUET-PG Exam

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Monday declared the results of the University Common Entrance Test-PG (CUET) for which 6.07 lakh candidates had registered. Officials gave this information. NTA Senior Director (Exams) Sadhna Parashar said, “Exam results have been declared.”

At the same time, University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Jagdish Kumar said that the marks of the University Common Entrance Test were not normalized for admission to the courses. He said that the universities will prepare the rank list for admission to the postgraduate level on the basis of ‘basic marks’ and not on the basis of NTA marks.

When asked about the reasons behind the non-normalization of marks in CUET-PG, Kumar said that the PG exam was conducted in one shift in most of the subjects, while the undergraduate (UG) exam was conducted in different shifts. He said that in order to provide equal opportunities to all such students, normalization of examination marks was done at the UG level. Of the registered candidates for CUET-PG, 3.02 lakh were female and the rest were male.
