Mumbai: As soon as Reliance Industries’ 43rd AGM (RIL 43rd AGM 2020) begins, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani made a big announcement, saying that Google will buy 7.7% stake in Jio platforms for Rs 33,737 crore. Mukesh Ambani also made a big announcement about cheap Android phones. He told that till now more than 10 crore live phones have been sold. But the feature phone users are still waiting for the smartphone to come to them.
Mukesh Ambani said that Google and Jio together are working towards making Android based smartphone operating system. Under its partnership, the company will develop the operating system for the entry-level 4G / 5G smartphone. The purpose of Google-Jio partnership is to make India 2G-free.
A new Jio TV + has also been announced.
Akash Ambani has introduced JioTV + at AGM. The new Jio TV + will have all OTT channels like Netflix, Amazon, Prime Video, Hotstar. It does not require separate ID password for login. With Jio TV +, you can watch anything on any OTT in just one click.
JioGlass has been launched at the AGM. The weight of this glass is only 75 grams. It will be connected to a cable. There are currently 25 apps in this glass, in which many other apps can be added further.
Made in India will launch 5G service next year
Mukesh Ambani announced that Jio has developed 5G solutions from scratch, which will provide world-class 5G service in India. Along with this, it was also told that with the availability of the spectrum, its trial will start. Mukesh Ambani has dedicated Jio’s 5G solution to PM Modi’s ATMANIRBHAR BHARAT, which will be introduced by next year. It was told that it will be 100% made in India.
