The company said that this move is part of its commitment to invest in the local economy and create job opportunities, while also harnessing the rich manufacturing ecosystem of the country.
Phone (2a): Designed for India, engineered for excellence
According to Nothing, Phone (2a) is a smartphone designed for India, with a focus on providing the optimal daily smartphone experience. The company said that Phone (2a) incorporates all of its design innovation, expertise, and craftsmanship, and doubles down on core user needs.
Phone (2a) will also leverage some of the most beloved features from Phone (2), such as the 6.5-inch AMOLED display, the 64MP quad-camera setup, the 4500mAh battery with 65W fast charging, and the 3D glass back. Nothing said that Phone (2a) will ensure a clear upgrade compared to Phone (1) on every front, including performance, battery life, camera quality, and design.
One of the key features of Phone (2a) is the custom Dimensity 7200 Pro processor, which is co-engineered with MediaTek. This processor is claimed to deliver the best performance with optimal power consumption, thanks to its 6nm process technology and octa-core CPU. Phone (2a) will also support 5G connectivity, making it future-ready for the Indian market.

The company said that Ranveer Singh embodies the spirit of Nothing, as he is a versatile, creative, and passionate performer. Reports suggest that Phone (2a) will be priced competitively in India, and could be less than Rs 30,000. This would make it one of the most affordable 5G smartphones in the country, and a strong contender in the mid-range segment.
