New Delhi: ED action against Rana Kapoor: Enforcement Directorate has taken major action against Yes Bank founder Rana Kapoor under PMLA in money laundering case. ED attached Rana Kapoor’s property worth Rs 2203 crore. Apart from this, the properties of DHFL promoters Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhavan have also been attached. Apart from this, the agency has also banned some of Kapoor’s foreign assets. The ED alleges that Kapoor and his family members and others took a ‘bribe’ to pay large loans through the bank.
4,300 crore money laundering case
These people made crime proceeds of about Rs 4,300 crore. This debt later became a non-performing asset (NPA). Kapoor was arrested by the Central Investigation Agency in March. He is currently in judicial custody.

First overseas attachment
According to the information, a bungalow situated on Amrita Shergill Marg in Delhi, a London property and a New York property have been attached. Its value is said to be around 1200 crores. This is the first overseas attachment in this case. Earlier, the agency had attached a local asset of 50 crore.

Wadhawan Brothers also attached assets worth 1400 crores
Enforcement Directorate has also attached assets worth 1400 crores to Wadhavan Brothers. This includes property in his name in India and abroad. Wadhawan Brothers have attached assets in Pune, Australia, New York and London. Kapil and Dheeraj Wadhawan as well as his non-financial company DHFL have also been charged in the case of Rana Kapoor.
