CA, CS, ICWA degree now equivalent to post-graduation, UGC recognized

New Delhi: UGC has given good news to the students studying Chartered Accountancy. Now CA, CS, and ICWA degrees will be considered equivalent to post-graduation. The UGC has taken this decision on the appeal of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and other institutions. ICAI said that this decision will not only help CA students to get a higher education, but it will also be easier to reach globally.

ICAI CCM Dheeraj Khandelwal tweeted that UGC has recognized CA, CS, and ICWA qualifications as PG degrees. This is a big achievement for our profession.

More than three lakh members of ICAI
ICAI is a statutory body established under the Act of Parliament – The Chartered Accountants Act 1949. Currently, more than 3 lakh members are associated with this institution. After passing 12th, a student can take admission in the CA Foundation course through the ICAI entrance exam.
CA foundation course exam will be held in June

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the schedule of CA June exam-2021 for foundation course. Candidates can view it on ICAI website icai.org. According to the notification, the CA May exam will be held on 24, 28 and 30 June.

Apart from this, the date sheet of CA Intermediate and Final Examination has also been released. The CA Intermediate examinations will start on 22 May and the final examinations will begin on 21 May. Apart from this, under the old scheme, intermediate exams for Group-I will be held on 22, 24, 27 and 29 May.
