The air quality index in Delhi and NCR on Diwali is in the ‘very poor’ category since morning. Which worsened as night progressed due to the smoke of firecrackers. According to the Weather Forecast and Research (SAFAR), Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 323 on the night of Diwali. On the other hand, Noida in UP is in worse condition, where AQI was recorded at 342. At the same time, the worst situation is in the Delhi University area, where the AQI has reached 365. Which is considered very bad.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that Delhi is not named among the 10 most polluted cities in Asia, while Delhi is looking polluted a day after Diwali.
