
New Delhi: In January, PhonePe, the digital payment company owned by Walmart, has surpassed Google Pay. According to data released by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), 96.87 crore transactions worth Rs 1.92 lakh crore have been done through PhonePe in January. With this transaction, PhonePe has become the top UPI app.
Google Pay ranked second, Paytm ranked third
Apart from this, there has been a Google Pay app on the second number. In January, 85.35 crore transactions worth Rs 1.77 lakh crore have been done through Google Pay. 33.26 crore transactions worth Rs 37,845.76 crore have been done through Paytm, the company at number three. At the same time, in the month of January, there has been a total transaction of 230.27 crores including all three apps.

Phonepe was on top in December also
Earlier, in December, 90.20 crore transactions worth Rs 1,82,126,88 crore were done through PhonePe. 85.44 crore transactions worth Rs. 1,76,199,33 crore were done through Google Pay. There were 26.10 crore transactions worth Rs 31,299.78 crore through Paytm, the company at number three.
