He got 169 votes. In such a situation, Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party PTI has lost the seat of Islamabad. Yusuf Raza Gilani has defeated Cabinet Minister Dr. Sheikh in Imran Khan’s government in the elections.

At the same time, PDM leader Maryam Nawaz has also attacked the Imran Khan government. At the same time, he has also announced a no-confidence motion against the government. Now its decision will be taken in the meeting of 11 political parties. With this, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to get a vote of confidence in Parliament after the defeat of his finance minister in the Senate elections on Wednesday.

Abdul Hafeez Sheikh, a close aide of Imran Khan and Finance Minister, lost to former Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani in the Senate elections on Wednesday. Khan is also the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He had personally tried to win for his cabinet colleague. Gilani, a senior leader of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), was the unanimous candidate of the opposition coalition Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). After Geelani’s victory, many opposition leaders heavily criticized Khan and demanded that he should resign from the post of Prime Minister.

Hours after the results were announced, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that the Prime Minister has decided to get a vote of confidence. The ruling party’s vice president Qureshi said that this decision was taken after deliberations in the party’s meeting.
