New Delhi: In a significant update for engineering aspirants nationwide, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has announced a revised schedule for the application process of the highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2024. The new timeline sets the registration window from April 27 to May 7, a shift from the previously slated April 21 start date.
This adjustment comes as a strategic move to accommodate the concurrent Lok Sabha elections, ensuring that the examination process remains unaffected by the national event. IIT Madras has confirmed that the JEE Advanced 2024 will proceed as planned on Sunday, May 26, with two critical papers. Candidates will tackle Paper 1 during the morning slot from 9 am to 12 noon, and Paper 2 in the afternoon from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
Aspiring IITians can initiate their application journey by visiting the official JEE Advanced portal at jeeadv.ac.in. The portal not only facilitates registration but also serves as a comprehensive resource for exam-related information and updates.
The institute has set May 10 (5 pm) as the deadline for the payment of the JEE Advanced exam fee. Following this, admit cards will be made available from May 17 at 10 am. In a transparent move to ensure fairness, candidates will be able to access copies of their responses on the examination portal starting May 31, with provisional answer keys being released shortly after on June 2. This will open a window for feedback, allowing candidates to submit their comments on the provisional answer keys from 10 am on June 2 until 5 pm on June 3.
The culmination of this rigorous process will see the release of the JEE Advanced 2024 results and the final answer key on June 9. Successful candidates will then move forward to the next phase, which involves registration for IIT counseling through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) and the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT 2024).
