New Delhi: The Indian women’s cricket team recently played a series of three ODIs (BAN v IND ODI Series) on their Bangladesh tour. This series was very much discussed. The reason for this was Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur. In the first two matches of the series, both teams won 1-1 matches. While the third ODI match ended in a draw. After no result of this match, the series was also left on par. Indian players attributed the match tie to poor umpiring.

The third ODI match played against Bangladesh was full of controversies. The LBW dismissal of Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur in the third ODI was also controversial. When the umpire gave the Indian captain out, Harman Preet angrily hit the stumps with his bat and also argued with the umpire. Now the International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken action against him and banned him for two matches.

Batting first in this match, Bangladesh scored 225 runs. Chasing 225 runs, the Indian team did not have a good start but after a while the team recovered and the match was in a very exciting mode. But in the 34th over, the team suffered a fourth major blow in the form of Harmanpreet. Harmanpreet tried to play a sweep shot on the fourth ball of Nahida Akhtar’s 34th over, but she missed it. At the same time, Bangladeshi players appealed for LBW out against the Indian captain and the umpire gave them out.
