Dubai: A huge container stuck in the Suez Canal (Egypt) has caused traffic jams in the sea. This container is considered to be one of the world’s largest cargo container ships. Officials said on Wednesday that this has caused another major problem for the global shipping system already affected by the Corona Virus.
The ‘MV Ever Given’ Panama-flagged container ship that runs between Asia and Europe was stranded in a narrow man-made waterway on Tuesday, which divides continental Africa from the Sinai Peninsula.
The reason for the ship getting stuck like this is not yet known. Although the Evergreen Marine Corps said in a statement that it happened due to strong winds, not a single container has been submerged.
