New Delhi: Hong Kong has halted AI flights until the end of August after some passengers were found infected with the coronavirus in one flight. Senior government officials gave this information on Wednesday. According to the rules issued by the Hong Kong government in July, travelers can travel from India to Hong Kong with the Covid-19 investigation report and this test report must be made at most 72 hours before the trip. With this, all international travelers arriving there will need to undergo a Covid-19 investigation at the Hong Kong airport complex itself.

“Some of the passengers from the recent Air India flight to Hong Kong were tested on Covid-19 in which they were found infected,” the government official said. He added, “The Hong Kong government has banned all Air India flights until the end of August.” Air India did not comment when asked in this regard by ‘PTI-Bhasha’. “The Delhi-Hong Kong flight (number AI 310/315) will be postponed from August 18 due to the imposition of sanctions by the Hong Kong administration and will be informed soon,” the airline said on Monday.
