New Delhi: 80-year-old Bilkis Bano alias Bilkis Dadi emerged as the face of months-long protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act in Delhi’s Shaheen Baug. Bilkis Dadi has been added to the “My Personal Wonder Woman” list by Hollywood actress Gal Gadot.
Gadot, who recently appeared in the movie “Wonder Woman 1984”, shared photos of girls and women known around the world for their work on his Instagram page. “Sharing my list of amazing women, I’m saying goodbye to 2020,” she wrote. Some of them are my close friends, some are women from the family and some are inspired by me and I have met them while I hope to meet some women in the future. ”
The 35-year-old actress shared the same picture of Bilkis Bano and wrote giving wrong information, “Looking at this 82-year-old activist fighting for women’s rights in India, it seems that there is no age to fight for the right.”
Although he later deleted that story, Bilkis is still part of his post. Earlier this year, Bilkis Bano, popularly known as Shahin Bagh’s grandmother, was included in Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020.
Gadot’s My Personal Wonder Woman list includes Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman 1984, Kamala Harris, Vice President-elect of the United States, and Jacinda Arden, Prime Minister of New Zealand. Jacinda Arden, Pfizer also includes Kathrin Jansen, Chief of Vaccine Research, and Sofia Scarlet, an activist.
