New Delhi: V Senthil Balaji, a minister in the MK Stalin government of Tamil Nadu, has been sacked by Governor RN Ravi. V Senthil is accused of taking money instead of getting a job. He is also under investigation in a case related to money laundering and corruption. This is the reason why the Governor decided to sack him from the Council of Ministers of the Government of Tamil Nadu. In a statement from the Raj Bhavan, it was told that Minister V. Senthil Balaji was misusing his position as a minister. He was influencing the ongoing investigation against him and was obstructing the process of law and justice.

At present there is a DMK government in Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister MK Stalin had given the responsibility of many important departments to V Senthil Balaji. He has the Ministry of Electricity and Excise. On June 14, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) arrested him in the case of taking cash in lieu of a job. At present, he is in jail in judicial custody in this case. Some other criminal cases against him under the Anti-Corruption Act and the Indian Penal Code are being investigated by the state police.
