
New Delhi: Government is going to give very good news to those who do online shopping. From 27 July 2020, the central government will introduce new rules for e-commerce companies in the country. Under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, new rules will also apply to e-commerce companies. This law is also a part of the Consumer Protection Act 2019. It was also to be implemented in the country from July 20, 2020, but it will now be implemented in the entire country from July 27. Explain that from last 20 July, the Consumer Protection Act 2019 is in force throughout the country. Consumer and Food Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan will announce this by holding a press conference on 27 July. For the first time in the country, a guideline has been made for e-commerce companies. Earlier, the Consumer Protection Act 1986 had no rules for e-commerce companies.

New rules will also be applicable on e-commerce companies from July 27
After the new rules are implemented for the e-commerce companies in the country, now a provision has been made for any fraud with online shoppers. If customers were cheated in online shopping, then the e-commerce companies will be tightened. The new e-commerce law will increase the convenience of customers and will also give many new rights.
Companies now have to take more care of the interests of customers
Under the new consumer law, e-commerce companies will now have to take more care of the interests of customers. Whether those companies are registered in the country or abroad. The new rule also provides for punishment along with penalty. If a customer books an order and cancels it later, then e-commerce companies cannot charge. Also, there will be a provision of penalty for delivery of cheap goods. All the information like refund, exchange, guarantee-warranty have to be made available on the portal of e-commerce companies. Along with this, we also have to tell which country the product is from and in which country it is made. Also, the wrong or tempting price and hidden charge will also be controlled.
Nodal officer will be posted for complaints of online companies
According to the new rule of e-commerce, a nodal officer will be posted for complaints of online companies. This officer will have to settle customer complaints within a fixed time limit. In the new rule, all e-commerce companies, big and small, have to follow the rules. Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan will tell the media about this new law on 27 July 2020.
