Performers dressed in vibrant attire dance rhythmically to the beats of traditional instruments like dhol and tashe.

For tourists visiting Goa during this period, Shigmo offers a unique opportunity to experience the state’s diverse cultural heritage beyond its famous beaches. Visitors can witness spectacular processions filled with music, dance performances, mythological storytelling through floats, and authentic Goan hospitality.
To enhance visitor experience further, local authorities have encouraged travelers to explore various towns hosting the festival events. This initiative aims to showcase lesser-known aspects of Goan culture while boosting tourism across different regions of the state.
