His wealth has increased by about Rs 1.43 lakh crore (1, 1,910 crores) so far this year. However, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL), is still the richest Indian businessman. Globally, Tesla’s Elon Mauk’s wealth has increased the most by Rs 7.15 lakh crore (95 9530 crores).

Gautam Adani has benefited from the spectacular rise in shares of Adani Group companies. Shares of Adani Green have risen 582 percent so far this year. Meanwhile, shares of Adani Gas have strengthened by 112 percent and Adani Enterprises by 86 percent. Adani Transmission has increased by 40 percent and Adani ports by 4 percent. However, shares of Udani Power have declined by more than 35 percent this year. The Adani Group operates in the areas of the port, airport, energy, logistics, agri-business, real estate, defense, and financial services.

Mukesh Ambani is second and Cyrus Poonawala is third
Gautam Adani’s wealth has increased by Rs 1.43 lakh crore to Rs 2.28 lakh crore this year. Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani’s wealth has increased by Rs 1.23 lakh crore this year. With this increase, his total wealth has become Rs 5.63 lakh crore. Cyrus Poonawala of Serum Institute of India ranks third among Indian businessmen. His wealth has increased by Rs 44,700 crore to Rs 1.10 lakh crore this year. This was followed by HCL Technology’s Shiv Nadar with an increase of Rs 36,675 crore to Rs 1.55 lakh crore and former Wipro chairman Azim Premji with an increase of Rs 33,075 crore to Rs 1.70 lakh crore.
