
New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested four associates of the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed from the Pulwama district. This information was given by the police on Sunday. Police said that the arrested persons used to provide other facilities including vehicles to the terrorists to spread terror in the state. The police are interrogating all four persons.
The state police and the Indian Army are working together these days to end terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. Earlier on March 12, security forces had killed four Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists in separate operations in Kashmir, while one terrorist was arrested alive in this action.
On this matter, a police officer said that the encounter took place in the Pulwama, Ganderbal, and Kupwara districts of the Kashmir Valley. He said that two Jaish-e-Mohammed (Jeem) terrorists and a Pakistani national were killed in an overnight encounter in the Chewakalan area of Pulwama in South Kashmir.

Kashmir’s Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar tweeted, “Pakistan terrorist killed in Pulwama encounter has been identified as JeM Commander Kamal Bhai ‘Jatt’. He was active in the Pulwama-Shopian area since 2018 and was involved in several terror crimes and civil atrocities.
Another encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in the Search area of the Ganderbal district of central Kashmir in the early hours of Saturday, the official said. He said a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist has been killed in the firing. Another encounter took place in the morning in Nechma Rajwar area of Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, in which a Lashkar terrorist was killed, he said.
Kumar said the security forces had launched an anti-militancy operation at four-five places. He tweeted, “We started joint operation at 4-5 places last night. So far, two JeM terrorists, including a Pakistani, have been killed in Pulwama, Ganderbal, and a Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist in Handwara. Encounter over in Handwara and Pulwama.
Earlier on March 9, the police arrested four terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Baramulla and Pulwama districts. Acting on a tip-off, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Nadihal area of Rafiabad, Sopore, after which an associate of a banned Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist was arrested, a police spokesman said.
