
New Delhi: Mridula Sinha, a senior leader of Bhartiya Janta Party and former Governor of Goa, has passed away today. She was 77 years old. Sinha was counted among the influential leaders of the BJP. Many BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, have mourned her demise.
Efforts to serve the public will be remembered
Prime Minister Modi wrote in a tweet, “Mrs. Mridula Sinha ji will be remembered for his efforts to serve the public. She was also a prolific writer, contributing extensively to the world of literature as well as culture. Saddened by his demise. Condolences to his family and fans. ॐ Peace. ”

Home Minister Amit Shah said, “The death of former Goa governor and senior BJP leader Mridula Sinha is very sad. He worked for the nation, society and organization all his life. She was also a prolific writer who will always be remembered for her writing. Condolences to their families. ॐ Peace. ”
Life introduction
Mridula Sinha was born on November 27, 1942 in the village of Chapra Dharampur Yadu in the Muzaffarpur district in the Mithila region of the state of Bihar in India. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. After which Motihari’s S. K. Sinha got a job in a women’s college. But after some time she quit her job and started studying in a school in Muzaffarpur.
Political career
Mrs. Sinha started her political career with her husband Ram Kripal Sinha, who was a Cabinet Minister in the Bihar State Government. She was a member of the National Executive of the Bharatiya Janata Party till August 2014. During the BJP’s campaign for the 2014 general elections, she was in charge of the BJP Mahila Morcha (Women’s Wing). After the Modi government came to the country on August 25, 2014, he was appointed as the Governor of Goa. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also appointed Sinha as an ambassador for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
Along with the politician, she was also a great writer
Mrs. Sinha was a politician as well as a great writer of Hindi literature. He also wrote many short stories about the people of Bihar. Many of these stories were published in Hindi language magazines and later compiled into a two-volume compilation called Bihar Ki Lo-Kathayan (“Bihar’s Folk Tales”). He also wrote several novels and a biography of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia entitled ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’.
