Cairo: In the Yemeni Migrant Detention Center, eight people were killed and more than 170 people were injured in a fire at a Yemeni Migrant Detention Center in the capital of Yemen. The United Nations agency on migrants told about this on Sunday. The International Organization for Migrants (IOM) said the cause of the fire is being ascertained at the detention center located in Sanaa.

The organization said that the condition of more than 90 injured is critical. The IOM reported that the detention center is operated by Houthi rebels who have occupied the area since the conflict began in Yemen six years ago. Hooties said they were investigating the cause of the fire at the detention center. A UN official said the fire broke out at another location near the main building, where more than 700 migrants live. The official said that most of the migrants were arrested in the northern province of Saada while trying to enter Saudi Arabia.
