New Delhi: A fire broke out in southeast Delhi’s Okhla area in the wee hours of Sunday, Fire Department said.
“We received the call at 0224 hours on Sunday. A total of 26 fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire,” the Fire Department said.
The fire had broken out at a slum area in Sanjay Colony in Okhla phase II. So far, no casualties have been reported.
According to the fire department, It was a medium category fire. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
Firefighting operation is underway and further details are awaited.
