Karachi: A horrific accident took place in Pakistan. Many passengers died due to a fire in a train here. There was a stir after the incident. At least seven people, including three children and a woman, were killed when a coach of an express passenger train caught fire in Sindh province, according to rescuers who reached the spot. The fire broke out in the business class compartment of the Karachi-Lahore-bound Karachi Express last night, the official said. Railway spokesperson Maqsood Kundi said efforts were on to ascertain how the coach caught fire. The coach was detached from the train after the fire broke out, he added.

Maqsood Kundi said that seven people including three children were killed in the incident. A woman also lost her life in this incident. Ministry of Railways has ordered a high-level inquiry into it.”He said that soon after receiving the information about the fire, the train was stopped at the nearest station and the fire department was informed for emergency action. He said that fire tenders reached the spot at around 1.50 am and the fire was brought under control in 40 minutes.
